Dr. Min Liu is an Associate Professor and Edward I. Weisiger scholar in the Dept. of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering at the North Carolina State University. She received a PhD degree in Engineering Project Management from University of California, Berkeley in 2007. Her research interests include performance and productivity improvement, lean construction (project-based production management for the architecture-engineering-construction industry), and international project management.
Dr. Liu is the Associate Editor for ASCE Journal of Construction Engineering and Management and ASCE Journal of Management in Engineering. She also has served on the review panels for National Science Foundation, Project Management Institute, and National Cooperative Highway Research Program. Dr. Liu established the Lean Construction Institute- Carolina Community of Practice with two local industry practitioners in 2009. She has been serving as its core-group member and chair of research committee chair since then. Leading a group of graduate students, Dr. Liu has published over 30 papers in ASCE Journal of Construction Engineering and Management, ASCE Journal of Management in Engineering, Construction Engineering and Economics, ASCE Automation in Construction, and Journal of International Project Management.
Dr. Liu received the Best Paper Award in the Lean & Computing in Construction Congress 2017. She was also award the Outstanding Reviewer for ASCE Journal of Construction Engineering and Management in 2015. She received the “Thank Your Teacher” awards in 2011 and 2014.
