Dr. Johannes Pistrol studied civil engineering with a specialization in structural engineering at the Vienna University of Technology, Austria, where he graduated in 2011.

After his studies he started working as a research associate at the Institute of Geotechnics under the supervision of Prof. Adam in Vienna. He got his PhD in early 2016 for his work on CCC with oscillating rollers and is now head of the research group “soil dynamics and geotechnical earthquake engineering” at the Vienna University of Technology.
