Dr. Tian Bo, borne in 1973 in Shan-xi, is an PhD advisor and Researcher III at the Research Institute of Highway, Ministry of Transportation. He is also a member of Road Technology Committee of the PIARC.

Dr. Tian’s research areas are in Portland cement concrete pavement design, construction, and maintenance. His research includes “A study on the Tire-Pavement Noise Mechanism and Testing Technologies”, “R&D in Color-Pattern Concrete Paving Technologies and Equipment”, “A research on fire-resistant of concrete used in tunnels”.

Dr. Tian has more than 100 journal publications and two technical books. He has also received many research awards including (in Chinese): 省部级科技进步一等奖6项目，二等奖9项，三等奖12项目。荣获中国公路学会百名优秀工程师、中国公路学会青年科技奖、交通运输部直属机关首届五四青年奖章标兵、交通青年科技英才、内蒙古自治区草原英才等荣誉称号。.
