Ms. Zhao Xiupu graduated from Chang’an University with a master degree. In recent years, she has been actively involved in the development of intelligent compaction technology for highway applications in China.

Currently she is authoring the Hebei Provincial Standard “Intelligent Compaction for Highway Subgrade Soils” and the Chinese Department of Transportation Standard “Intelligent Compaction System for Asphalt Pavements“.

At present, she is involved in a study to obtain pavement subgrade mechanical property index based on intelligent Compaction measurements. The goal is to use such new index to evaluate pavement performance and to serve as the basis for acceptance for subgrade compaction.
